Public Speaking Coaching for Businesses

Is your team preparing for a crucial pitch, fundraising round, or conference presentation, but don’t feel as much confidence in your delivery as you do your content?

Group public speaking workshops offer an opportunity to align everyone on what makes a speech clear, impactful, and authentic in an environment that promotes team building.

The first workshop begins with a presentation on “Fundamentals,” covering mindset, using your voice and body, dealing with nerves, and more. Following that, you will spend the majority of the session rotating through individualized coaching, usually with your own material you’ve prepared; you’ll put into action what was learned earlier and work through your personal habits and inhibitors through real-time feedback and tailored exercises. During this, David will facilitate constructive group feedback, with participants observing and learning from each other being a key part of the process. Prior to the workshop, a guide on “How to Learn a Speech” will be sent to participants to aid with preparation.

In the second workshop, you’ll receive a presentation on “Impact”, looking at methods used by performers to convey the weight and emotional impact of your message. This is again followed by individualized coaching in a group setting, this time integrating poetry and Shakespeare alongside your prepared material allowing you to put into practice the lessons from the “Impact” presentation, and those from the previous workshop. Both workshops include a group warm-up, and personalized written feedback for each participant.

These workshops provide a foundation for public speaking, giving participants a toolbox of strategies they can call upon. However, public speaking is like a muscle; the more you exercise it the stronger it becomes. I'm pleased to offer continued training through hourly coaching, or a retainer agreement.
